Atone of the 'con'sultation meeting at Furness school the meeting was surprised by pop up tents with 'say no to academy' painted on them.
Not only that, two passing santas arrived to give presents - making Councillor James Powney feel very uncomfortable!

We continue our campaign. An example is a demo outside Brent Town Hall when the next stage of the proposed academy was being rubber stamped at a chaotic council meeting.

We are a group of concerned and committed citizens who believe that the building of a city academy on the Wembley Park Sports Ground is wrong. To this end we occupied the sports ground. Up to 30 tents made a colourful and impressive sight.
We come from varied backgounds, are not just teachers, and we hold very different political views. What unites us is the determination to stop this community amenity being lost and to prevent the building of a school run by private billionaires yet paid for by us, the taxpayers.
